What Is It
It’s a ceramic coating. But like... you just spray it on.
Silica was built to push the limits of spray-applied protection. It bonds to your vehicle’s surfaces using high-solids SiO₂ polymers to create a hardened shell that stands up to harsh chemicals, environmental fallout, UV rays, and whatever else your car goes through.
Silica bridges the gap between traditional spray sealants and full ceramic coatings, delivering up to 12 months of protection from a single spray-on application. We chose performance over ease with this one. Sure, there’s a chance of streaking if you use too much, but use it right and it’ll leave behind a slick, ultra-glossy finish that looks like a professional coating. Silica transforms your paint with depth, clarity, and protection you can feel.
Use it on all exterior surfaces, including paint, glass, trim, plastics, and wheels. On its own or as a topper for coatings, Silica delivers coating-like protection in a bottle you can use in your driveway.
How to use it
It's pretty easy. Like an 8.7 out of 10 on the ease-of-use scale.
DON’T SPRAY TOO MUCH. Seriously.
Silica is a high-solids formula, so a little goes a long way. Here’s how to do it right:
- Spray once onto your microfiber towel, and once or twice directly onto the panel
- Work the product into the surface evenly using a crosshatch pattern
- Flip to a clean, dry side of your towel and buff to a high-gloss finish
- If you notice streaking, rebuff with a dry towel or lightly mist with water to level it out. Use less product on later sections.
Always apply to a clean, dry surface, one panel at a time. You don’t need to overthink it, just don’t overspray it.
